Introduction of Encapsulation Masterbatch Series

With the continuous advancement of photovoltaic (PV) cell technology and the constant improvement of power generation efficiency, the performance requirements for encapsulation films are becoming increasingly stringent. To meet the performance needs of different products, various functional additives must be incorporated into the film system. Some special additives are difficult to add directly and require granulation or grafting treatment, which are then added to the film in the form of masterbatches—such as acid-scavenging masterbatches, anti-PID masterbatches, silane-grafted masterbatches, and TAIC-grafted masterbatches. Currently, film masterbatches are widely used in encapsulation film systems, with different types offering distinct functions to meet customers’ practical requirements.

Hangzhou Foremost Material Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fumo Tech") has developed a series of functional masterbatches for encapsulation films. To address cell damage caused by acid corrosion, Fumo Tech launched the high-efficiency acid-scavenging masterbatch series E9110, which effectively reduces free acids generated by EVA and EPE films under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. Additionally, the PID effect in PV modules has long been a key industry concern, as it significantly degrades power generation efficiency. The anti-PID masterbatch E9120 effectively inhibits metal ion migration in modules, minimizing power attenuation. For enhancing film adhesion and preventing silane precipitation, Fumo Tech developed the silane-grafted masterbatch E9251, featuring high silane content and excellent transparency. To solve POE film slippage, improve crosslinking rate and density, and reduce additive precipitation, the POE-g-TAIC masterbatch E9255 was developed to comprehensively address these issues. Fumo Tech also offers light-converting masterbatches to cater to diverse customer needs.
