Composite Frame Materials
Introduction of Composite Frame Materials Structural composite materials, also known as fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composite materials. When a combination of glass fiber (GF) and unsaturated polyester (UPE) is used, the industry commonly calls it FRP. This material has the characteristics of light weight and high strength. It is widely used in various industries. It can generally be used as a structural load-bearing member and can be used for a long time in outdoor environments. Common application cases include cartoon statues of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, statues of Chairman Mao, "fake" police statues, and park yachts. In North America, fiberglass composite materials are used in utility poles and even bridges. In the field of wind energy, wind blades use a combination of glass fiber + epoxy resin, and large blades are also doped with some carbon fiber to further reduce the weight of the blades. Glass fiber reinforced polyurethane composite materials (FRPU) are the best among structural composite materials. The biggest feature is the balance of rigidity and toughness. The product has elastic deformation ability under large stress or even impact conditions. The strain can be nearly 100% recovered without adverse effects on the material. Among common structural composite materials, FRPU is almost the only material that can withstand tapping. In addition, the material also has the characteristic of low carbon footprint. According to an estimate by a well-known foreign company, the carbon footprint of FRPU frames is about 1/5 of that of aluminum frames, which is highly valued by European and American companies. As early as 2012, Fumo Tech began to develop glass fiber reinforced polyurethane composite materials (FRPU) with its partners for the frames of photovoltaic modules to replace aluminum frames. In 2014, the FRPU frames obtained CQC certification testing and related modules obtained certificates. In 2015, Fumo Tech’s invention patent for composite material frames was authorized (patent number: CN102637762 A). In 2016, Fumo Tech launched an outdoor demonstration power station using FRPU frames, namely the roof of the factory building in Sanhua Meizhu Industrial Park (1.5 MW); to date, the power station has been operating well for nearly 10 years. In 2020, Fumo Technology and its partners developed corner code technology and automatic assembly technology. After more than ten years of research and development, FRPU frames have gradually been recognized and valued by the photovoltaic industry. They can reduce costs while maintaining reliability and bring additional benefits, such as resistance to salt spray corrosion. In addition, Fumo Tech has also deployed other composite materials related products in the photovoltaic industry, such as composite material rack, composite material support rods and composite material backsheets. There is still a lot of room for improvement in the formulation and processing technology of composite materials. Fumo Tech is willing to help customers and contribute to the cost reduction and efficiency improvement of the industry. Xilia represents sales the rest of the world except Canada、USA and Indian.
